Indianapolis Executive Airport (TYQ) will have special procedures and hours in place for Super Bowl XLVI and the associated air traffic expected for the event.

The Super Bowl Host Committee has prepared a General and Business Aviation - Know Before You Go document that we suggest you download and review.

  • Please review the official FAA NOTAM  carefully before your departure, there are several special procedures in place around the Indianapolis area, including 3 temporary air traffic control towers (one of those is at Indy Exec).
  • Ensure you are familiar with the Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) active on game day.
  • Please check our Airport Specific NOTAMs  prior to departure - many specific pieces of information will be disseminated through Airport Specific NOTAMs that may not be in the official Super Bowl NOTAM.
  • Please ensure you have carefully reviewed the  Required Departure Routes in place from Sunday, February 5 8:00PM EST - Monday, February 6 11:00PM EST. 
  • Download our airport specific kneeboard  to have with you when flying
  • Advance reservations are strongly suggested, parking space will be limited - please click HERE  to make a reservation.
  • Lodging in the Indianapolis area will be at a premium - we suggest making reservations early by clicking on the Super Bowl's official lodging site
  • The Eagle Flyers Flight School and Aircraft Rental service will be closed from Monday, January 30, 2012 -  Monday, February 6, 2012
  • Access to the airport property will be restricted during the week of the game - please be prepared to show ID and explain the business you are conducting
  • Aircraft owners with planes in the T hangers on the west side of the field will NOT have access to their aircraft and hangars from Thursday, February 2 to Monday, February 6 due to aircraft parking. Additionally, you will not be permitted to drive your vehicle past the gates and onto the ramp or to your hangar during these dates.
